What subjects do you offer tutoring for?We offer tutoring for students from nursery school through 9th grade, covering subjects like math, reading, writing, and Spanish. Many of our tutors are Orton-Gillingham trained and specialize in working with students who have dyslexia. Additionally, we support students in developing executive functioning skills to help them stay organized and succeed in their academic work.
-
Do you offer in-person or online tutoring? We offer both in-person and online tutoring options to accommodate different learning preferences and schedules. You can choose what works best for your family, and we'll make sure the tutoring experience is seamless either way.
-
What makes your tutors different? We take great care in selecting our tutors through a rigorous hiring process. We not only ensure they have the qualifications and expertise but also that they can connect with students on a personal level. We believe that a strong relationship between tutor and student is essential for effective learning. Our tutors are chosen not just for their skills but for their ability to build confidence in students and make learning an enjoyable experience.
-
How do you match tutors with students? We believe that the relationship between a tutor and student is critical for successful tutoring. Our goal is to build confidence in students and ensure that they look forward to meeting with their tutor. To achieve this, we carefully match each student with a tutor based on their personality (gleaned during the initial assessment), the specific skills to be taught, location, and day/time availability. We also have a rigorous hiring process to ensure that all of our tutors are not only highly qualified but also capable of forming meaningful connections with their students.

How do you determine my child's specific needs? While not required, we highly recommend an initial assessment for your child. The assessment helps us create an individualized learning path tailored to your child's needs and provides valuable insights into their learning style and personality, helping us match them with the best tutor. If a family choses to begin with an assessment, they will receive written assessment notes, which are also shared with the tutor.
-
How much does tutoring cost? Our rates are based on a tiered system that reflects both the tutor's experience and the type of service provided. All of our tutors are highly qualified experts, and we tailor our pricing to match the personalized support your child needs. We offer competitive rates to ensure the best value. For more information on pricing, please contact us directly.

How does payment work?To streamline the payment process, we ask that all families provide a valid credit card to secure their sessions. Invoices are sent on the 5th of every month following the tutoring period and due within ten days of receipt. However, the credit card will only be charged if the family prefers paying via credit card, which incurs a 3% processing fee. We also offer other payment options, including Chase Quick Pay/Zelle, Venmo, and ACH. The only other time the credit card will be charged is if payment is late, in which case it will be processed on the 16th of the month.
-
What is your cancellation policy?Families may cancel a tutoring session, whether in-person or virtual, up to 12 hours in advance without incurring a charge. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances may arise that require you to modify your session. We strive to be flexible in those situations. However, if a session is not canceled in time and the tutor is on their way or has arrived (either in person or virtually), the full session fee will be charged. Families will receive a reminder of the cancellation policy when booking their sessions, ensuring both families and tutors are informed and aligned.
